The Induction Service of Rev. Van Eeden Petersman

INDUCTION (NOUN): THE INSTALLATION OF A PASTOR IN A NEW WORK OF MINISTRY IN A CONGREGATION

On February 17th, we had the joy of witnessing the induction of our new pastor, Rev. Norm Van Eeden Petersman, into his new call! We had a wonderful time of worship and thanksgiving together followed by a rich array of food for all who came out.

It was great to see old faces and new faces joining together in this event marking the beginning of Pastor Norm's ministry to our congregation.

Rev. Calum MacInnes, of Inverness, Scotland, lead the Induction Service and preached a powerful sermon on 1 Corinthians 3, entitled "God's Workers and God's Workmanship." It was a blessing to be reminded of the Lord's plans for His church and the truth that He uses humble (and unimpressive) servants to do His will. After the sermon, Rev. Tom Aicken of the Langley Free Reformed Church gave the charge to Pastor Norm and to the congregation.
